After operating independently for five years, Wiz Khalifa’s entertainment company Taylor Gang has signed a label deal with Atlantic Records.

Although not much will change for Wiz, Ty Dolla Sign, or Juicy J because of preexisting contractual obligations, the move could give a huge boost to other roster members such as Berner, Chevy Woods, Raven Felix, J.R. Donato, Tuki Carter, and Sosamann.

Earlier today, Taylor Gang released a statement via their website which can be read below. Congratulations to everyone involved in the deal!

Wiz Khalifa announces that his incredibly successful and groundbreaking Taylor Gang Ent. has signed a label deal with Atlantic Records. After five years of independent distribution, the Gang levels up to major label status, providing a massive opportunity for the imprint’s artists to make an impact on an international scale. The new deal will not affect artists currently signed to major labels, such as Wiz, Ty Dolla Sign, and Juicy J, but will provide a platform for existing and new talent for the rest of Taylor Gang’s roster.

“We are very pleased to expand our business with our partners at Atlantic Records/Warner Music. This is a great step forward for Taylor Gang as we get ready to move into the new year and focus on growth. We are all very excited” said Taylor Gang co-founder Will Dzombak when asked about the deal. Wiz echoed his sentiment, saying he was “Very excited about the deal with the gang. These guys are my family and friends first, now we’re gonna take this this shit to the next level.”

“Wiz is an amazingly talented artist, songwriter and entrepreneur. We’ve been so proud to have him as an Atlantic recording artist for the past six years, during which he also built Taylor Gang into a powerhouse hip-hop brand with a phenomenal fan following,” said Atlantic Records Chairman/COO Julie Greenwald. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Wiz and Taylor Gang to take his crew to the next level, and welcome them to the Atlantic family.”

Boasting a bevy of talented and popular artists, including Berner, Chevy Woods, Raven Felix, J.R. Donato, Tuki Carter and Sosamann, Taylor Gang has grown to be one of the most successful independent rap labels since its founding in 2011. Inspiring intense loyalty in its legion of devoted fans, Taylor Gang artists have earned more than 6 billion plays on YouTube and over 6 billion streams on streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music. With one of the most active touring schedules in music, Taylor Gang has played to millions of fans across the globe, building a diverse and organic fanbase. The new label deal with Atlantic Records will make Taylor Gang an even better venture for artists and fans.

Conceptualized in 2006 and founded in 2011 by award winning rapper Wiz Khalifa, Taylor Gang Ent. has become a hip hop mainstay. The record label and management company is home to a growing number of talented artists, producers, entrepreneurs, and entertainers such as Juicy J, Ty Dolla $ign, Chevy Woods, Berner, Tuki Carter, Raven Felix, J.R. Donato, Ricky P, Sledgren, Sosamann, and Cozmo. With a family of artists and fans combined, Taylor Gang pulls in the support and promotion of an army. Thanks to an unrelenting desire to tour and create the best shows possible, Taylor Gang has amassed an active and authentic following. Through this network, brands are given the rare opportunity to reach both the individual fan bases of those within Taylor Gang as well as the die-hard fans of all things Taylor. Promoting peace, individuality and positivity, Taylor Gang is as much a lifestyle as it is a crew.

Conan O’Brien, like, really gets it. Dude knows that the only proper way to rip through a contentious round of Gears of War 4 with someone who’s calmly and charismatically high is to get calmly and charismatically high yourself. That’s why, for the latest edition of his popular “Clueless Gamer” segment with special guest Wiz Khalifa, Conan actually seems way less clueless than ever before.

Wiz Khalifa loves weed. No, I mean he really, really loves weed. Wiz Khalifa loves weed so much that he actually has his own strain: Khalifa Kush. Wiz Khalifa and Tuki Carter team up in the video for Taylor Gang’s mixtape highlight.

Taylor Gang’s new mixtape TGOD Vol. 1 had an overwhelming wealth of new material from all of its members, but one of the most memorable tracks on the record came from Wiz Khalifa and Tuki Carter. The track finds Wiz Khalifa switching up his style a little bit, adopting a raspier flow that he further distorts on the hook, repeating “all this countin’ money help me sleep at night” in a cadence that’s not too far off from his Taylor Gang collaborator Juicy J.

The video for the track is stylish and exuberant, featuring smoking and dancing in equal measu.re Check out the full TGOD mixtape here.

Juicy J, Wiz Khalifa, and TM88 get “Bossed Up” in the video for their TGOD Mafia banger.

The Good Boy Shady-directed clip finds Wiz and Juicy running an office as true bosses. It even starts with a motivational speech from the Juiceman as he addresses employees.

“Time waits for no man,” he explains. “You gotta boss up, man. It’s time to stop playing around and being lazy. Get up and get to the money, ni**a. Grind, ni**a. Believe in your motherfu**in’ self.”

While Wiz smokes so much that his employees get high, Juicy takes things to the strip club. In the meantime, disgruntled workers take their frustrations out on computers and supplies in a classic Office Space-inspired scene.

Wiz Khalifa Yells at Paparazzi for Blocking Him From Getting Laid

Wiz Khalifa was setting up some post-club skins last night (Nov. 4), and he would have gotten it too, if weren’t for those meddling paparazzi.
TMZ cameras spotted the high-minded rapper coming out of Crush in New York City by his lonely. But that wasn’t supposed to be the case. Apparently, he had lined up for a certain young lady to leave the club with him. But when the flock of cameramen were spotted outside the venue, plans had to be diverted.
“Y’all just fucked up everything,” said the “See You Again” rapper jokingly while getting into his awaiting ride. “I’m trying to get some bun. Y’all roll up flashing all them cameras and shit. Young man can’t get no pussy,” he added before slamming the car door and riding off.
Wiz was much nicer during his last run in with the paps. Two weeks ago, he handed out free weed to the people filming his every move while he attempted to roll up in a car.
“Y’all gonna miss somebody else coming up out of here filming me rolling weed and shit,” he said. The cameraman then commented on the Pittsburgh rapper’s powerful pack of kush, with Wiz noting, “Yeah I know you can smell it, cause it’s that good shit.”
He then added “people like you guys” are the target demographic while handing out nuggets of his own brand of reefer to all those who wanted one.

Wiz Khalifa offered some very on brand advice to Kanye West when pressed by the paparazzi about the rapper’s recent hospitalization.

“Nah man nothing like that,” Wiz responds to the paparazzi when they ask him if he thinks the breakdown was “well-deserved.” Wiz basically decided ‘Ye just needed something medicinal to deal with everything. “He need to smoke some weed. Some some kk, make your day day all better.” Everything sounded pretty nice and sincere on Wiz’s part, but he did let one diss slip in when he added, “I’m going to send him some to the mental institution.”
